Drawing on the immediate environment of the project during the design and building process including topography and climate, enables the dwelling's ongoing impact to be positive. We aim to protect, conserve and renew our natural environment.
Design
Ensuring the design delivers an energy efficient building, reducing the energy consumed during it's lifetime which works passively to regulate comfortable internal temperatures. Less fuel is needed for heating and cooling minimising ongoing costs.
Building Materials
Utilising construction materials with less CO² emissions in their manufacture and use.
Reclaimed wood is an excellent aesthetic choice for exposed beams, while hempcrete uses a natural plant based building material.
